Radical Groups

Keep a clean nose
watch the plainclothes
you don't need a weather man
to know which way the wind blows.

[Bob Dylan]

What was the vision of your organization? Was it opposed to the war? Did it promote social change? Did it encourage civil rights? How did it intend to achieve its objectives -- was it violent or nonviolent? What was the rationale behind it strategy? If it promoted violence, had it been it a victim of injustice before deciding to promote violence?

How was it treated by the forces of law and order? Do any specific stories come to mind?

Being a radical group, one can assume it had little faith in the current institutions of government. Why was this so?

If your group was not an antiwar group, was it allied with the antiwar movement during the late sixties? Was the alliance successful or unsuccessful? Why or why not? What were your personal experiences from this alliance? What stories come to your mind?

Have I overlooked any questions? If so, how would you ansewr them? Do you have any additional thoughts you would like to share?
